The Socio-Technical Sustainability Roadmap (the “Roadmap” or the STSR) is a module-based workshop intended to help you and your team approach the seemingly daunting task of sustaining your web-based, user-facing, digital humanities project over time.

By simulating the built and natural landscape of the site across thousands of years, the project demonstrates how the nexus between landscape, memory, and identity can be examined in innovative ways. The emerging field of digital humanities, digital scholarship, and digital liberal arts is quickly expanding.

The Digital Projects for the Public program supports projects that interpret and analyze humanities content in primarily digital platforms and formats, such as websites, mobile applications and tours, interactive touch screens and kiosks, games, and virtual environments.

Its chief deliverable is a set of Guidelines (since 1994) that specify encoding methods for machine-readable texts, chiefly in the humanities, social sciences and linguistics. Abstract. During the 2016–2017 financial year, King's Digital Lab (King's College London) undertook an extensive archiving and sustainability project to ensure the ongoing management, security, and sustainability of ~100 digital humanities projects, produced over a twenty-year period.

Digital humanities foster collaboration and traverse disciplines and methodological orientations, with projects to digitize archival materials for posterity, to map the exchange and transmission of ideas in history, and to study the evolution of common words over the centuries. You will learn to design dynamic and interactive projects on digital platforms. Above all, you will learn how to employ these cutting-edge techniques to investigate subjects in the humanities in new and fascinating ways.
